The Website offers English editing services, including proofreading, copyediting, and line editing for individual manuscripts or collections of manuscripts. No original content is submitted by users, but rather orders for the editing of existing content.

The Website and all its content, including but not limited to text, graphics, logos, and images, are the intellectual property of The Manuscript Editor or its licensors. You may not reproduce, modify, distribute, or use any content from the Website without prior written consent.

2.3. User Content

By submitting any content to the Website (such as manuscripts for editing), you grant us the right to use it solely for providing the editing services. We do not publish, share, or distribute your manuscripts, and we maintain strict confidentiality. All manuscript orders are purged from our system every 30 days.

3. Disclaimer and Limitation of Liability

3.1. Use of the Website

The Website is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. We make no warranties, express or implied, about the Website’s operation or content. You use the Website at your own risk.

3.2. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Website or services, even if we have been advised of such possibilities.

4. Quality Assurance and Complaints

4.1. We value quality assurance. If you are dissatisfied with our services, you may submit a complaint within 25 days of receiving the edited manuscript. Complaints submitted after this period will not be entertained and will be considered a business distraction.

5. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold The Manuscript Editor, its affiliates, officers, directors, employees, and agents harmless from any claims, demands, losses, liabilities, and expenses (including attorneys' fees) arising from your use of the Website, violation of these Terms, or violation of any applicable laws or regulations.

6. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Delaware. Any disputes arising out of or relating to these Terms or the use of the Website shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in Delaware.

7. Modifications to the Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time without prior notice. Any changes will be effective immediately upon posting on the Website. Your continued use of the Website after the posting of any modifications constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.
